17 YEARS AND COUNTING ...
THE ANNUAL
BEST OF MILPITAS AWARDS
You took the time to labor over your favorites. We sharpened our pencils and counted the nominations. The results are ready — at long, long last. The 17th annual Best of Milpitas that follows on the next 72 pages represents readers’ favorites for the city’s service professionals, restaurants, shops, parks, schools ... you name it.

All ballots were hand-counted and reviewed by our staff. The batch of winners for 2007 are represented by many longtime favorites who deserve their own grand champion trophies for remaining atop the vote tallies year after year — Pacific Tire Outlet, La Milpa, Nob Hill. However, there are some newcomers who surprised many and raced to the top. Other businesses closed or moved away, allowing a new face or service to claim the top ranking.
This survey is not scientific and does not claim to be. But it does reflect opinions of those Milpitans who feel strongly about a service, store or businessperson, and all votes that were legitimately fielded were objectively counted. (Just ask our still-recovering team of counters.) Suspected ballot stuffers were eliminated.

When the Best of Milpitas winners were closely followed by others, the runners-up were recognized with what we call an Honor Award.
This 200-category list provides recognition for businesses that try harder to satisfy their customers. It is also a good guide for newcomers to get acquainted with merchants recommended by their neighbors.
Thanks to all of the readers and advertisers who participated in the 2007 Best of Milpitas Readers’ Choice Awards.
Congratulations to all of the winners.
