Best Historic Building

The Higuera Adobe in the city’s northeast corner was mentioned most. It is an outside shell built in the 1960s, to protect what remains of ruins from the 1860s at the same site. It can be rented for special events. The DeVries Place senior citizen housing community and the new Milpitas Public Library that are rising on North Main Street are preserving oldtime buildings as part of their design, and won the Honor Awards.
