Worst Smell

You can’t have a Best of, without mentioning some of the worst. Milpitas has been plagued by odors since its origins — hog farms, fruit pit piles, the sewage treatment plant in nearby San Jose, restaurants (to remain unnamed), and, of course, the Newby Island landfill. The dump was mentioned more than anything else. Other mentions: Alviso on a hot day, and the San Jose Santa Clara Sewage Control Plant.
