Best Hotel
We used to have two hotel categories — best extended stay and best hotel for a short stay — and decided to boil them into one. Readers again told us they really like the Embassy Suites for its calming atrium ambiance that is the signature of the chain. Its restaurant undoubtedly helped toward this, being one of the few white tablecloth establishments here. Honor Award in the balloting goes to familiar-named lodging favorites: Crowne Plaza, Beverly Heritage, and Hampton Inn.
