Peoples Furniture raced to the top for the Best of Milpitas for the second time last year, but closed its doors abruptly in 2008, like so many other businesses hamstrung in a weak economy. The 2008 winner is C & K United Furniture, earning many votes for its selection and reasonable prices. Wal-Mart was runner-up.
