Sushi Mamoru, a second-time nominee, narrowly missed the top spot for its sophisticated sushi presentations and Japanese specialties in 2007. But this year it claimed Best of Milpitas for its classy cuisine, perfect for the office party or home gathering. Middle-Eastern specialties at Gourmet Express also garnered votes, as did L&L Hawaiian, Sbarro, Giorgio’s and Casa Azteca.
