Nob Hill, a five-time winner since 2000, rallied to beat Save Mart this year. Nob Hill won nearly every grocery category it had a leg in for 2007. Nob Hill’s cakes are popular, as are its fresh-baked breads. Last a winner in 2003 and 2006, Save Mart’s low prices and selection were cited as first runner-up. Honor Award recipients for next best are: Flames, Lucky, Sheng Kee, Kee Wah, Bakers Square, Christy’s, Marie Callender’s, Elite and Gold Ribbon. This category, like Best Mexican Restaurant, Best Dentist and Best Realtor, always seems to draw the largest voting field.
